What counts as a credit?
Exporting a finished meme (downloading or copying it) costs 1 credit, and so do premium AI actions like generative image edits and face swaps. Generating meme ideas, browsing templates, and caption editing are free on every plan. Free accounts get 2 fresh credits every day.
Is there a free trial?
The free plan is the way to try it: every meme tool works on it, with 2 export credits a day and no card needed. Pro and Max are charged when you subscribe and renew monthly or yearly until you cancel.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your plan any time from the dashboard billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Do unused credits roll over?
Pro credits reset with each billing period — 500 every month, or 6,000 granted upfront on the annual plan. Max has no credit limits at all.
What does Max include that Pro doesn’t?
Two Max-only AI features on top of unlimited credits: AI meme videos (30 lip-synced talking video memes a month — news anchors, courtroom verdicts, bodycam clips) and Meme Autopilot, which delivers fresh memes on trending formats for your product to your inbox on a schedule. Do free memes have a watermark?
Free exports carry a small memebuilder.ai mark in the corner. Pro and Max exports are watermark-free — or, with a saved brand kit, stamp your own logo and @handle instead.
What payment methods are supported?
